Handled is a marketplace for small real-world jobs (yard work, dump runs, assembly, errands). A person posts a job and sets the price, a helper claims it, the poster approves the helper and pays through Stripe, and Handled holds the money until the poster confirms the job is done. DEMO ACCOUNT The account in the Sign-In fields is an adult, ID-verified account that can post and claim jobs. On first sign-in you'll be asked to accept the Terms of Use. Sign-in is required before browsing because job posts include neighbors' names and locations, shown only to signed-in users. Deletion requests from this demo account are logged but not carried out, so it keeps working. WHAT TO TRY 1. Jobs tab: open jobs with price and distance. The app asks for location after sign-in (allow or decline both work). Far from Utah, the list shows the closest open jobs. 2. Post a job from the Post tab. You can take it down afterward. 3. Push notifications: the app asks right after sign-in. To test, tap the chat icon at the top (Messages), open Alerts, and tap "Send me a test alert". Alerts cover messages, requests, approvals, check-ins, payments, cancellations and new jobs nearby (that last one can be turned off on the Jobs tab). 4. Weekly check-in: if someone hasn't opened the app in 5+ days, at most one alert a week, and only about something real (things waiting on them, or new jobs near them). No ads or promotions (4.5.4). There's an on/off switch in Messages > Alerts, and the email version has an opt-out link. 5. Messaging: open any profile and tap Message, or use a job's chat. Chats, jobs and profiles have Report (the flag); profiles also have Block. 6. Voice messages: in a chat with an empty text box, hold the microphone to record, let go to send. 7. Account deletion: You tab, bottom, "Delete my account". 8. Assist (You > Help & support): an optional AI helper using Anthropic's Claude. It asks permission before anything is sent (5.1.2(i)); if declined it uses built-in answers. PAYMENTS All payments are for physical services done in person (3.1.3(e)), processed by Stripe. The poster chooses card (paid inside the app) or US bank account. Connecting a bank opens Stripe's page in Safari, because bank sign-in needs a full browser; a saved bank can then be paid in one tap in the app. You don't need to make a payment to review the app. USER CONTENT AND SAFETY - Everyone must accept the Terms of Use (zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users) before using the app. - Messages, job posts, reviews, offers and names are filtered automatically for slurs and explicit words. - Users can report jobs and people and block anyone. The developer is notified of every report and reviews it within 24 hours. - People talk only through in-app chat; phone numbers are never shown to other users. - Helpers verify their ID (face photo plus photo ID, checked by the developer) before claiming a job. These photos are never shown to others and are deleted after the check. USERS UNDER 18 Handled is for ages 13 and up. Helpers 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian's approval: the parent opens a link and says yes, then the developer calls the parent to confirm. Payouts go to the parent. Under 16: only jobs the poster marks "Under 16 welcome" (never ladder or power-tool jobs, enforced by the server), an adult must be home, and the parent gets a read-only link to their child's chats. In chats with under-16 users, phone numbers, emails and social handles are blocked. No childcare jobs for anyone. ACCOUNT DELETION "Delete my account" sends a request; the developer is notified at once and closes the account within 24 hours. Payment records are kept for taxes. NATIVE FEATURES Push notifications, camera (job and ID photos), microphone (voice messages), location (distance to jobs), haptics, pull-to-refresh and an offline screen.
