Stranzer shows the family tree of cannabis strains. Pick a strain to see where it came from: its parents, grandparents and beyond on the left, and every strain bred from it on the right. Tap any strain to move to it and keep exploring. READ A LINEAGE AT A GLANCE • Colors run from blue (indica) through gray (balanced hybrid) to red (sativa). • Rounded boxes mark landraces (strains that most modern strains trace back to). • A dotted line shows an ancestor that already appears elsewhere in the tree, so even complicated crosses stay readable. • Choose how many generations to show, from parents only up to six generations back. FIND STRAINS • Search from nearly 1,000 strains, curated from Seattle dispensary menus and public breeder databases. • Explore the whole collection on a zoomable strain map. MAKE IT YOURS • Favorite strains and keep notes on the ones you've tried. • Add strains or correct lineages. The same name can be a different plant from a different grower, and your local knowledge counts. Your changes are kept when the app updates. Stranzer is for information only. It doesn't sell anything, and it collects no data: everything stays on your device.

Verdict
WI Lottery and stranzer both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of stranzer's written reviews are positive against 65% of WI Lottery's. stranzer also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). WI Lottery's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
stranzer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WI Lottery has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. WI Lottery ships an update every 5 weeks, stranzer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
