This app is for users like me who want a quick glance at their daily calories. We have many nutrition apps out there, but not all of them display the complete picture, I wanted to easily be able to see whether or not I was sitting in a surplus or a deficit depending on my current training/nutrition goals. My preferred nutrition app only pulls in exercises, ignoring rest and general active calories, only giving part of the picture. This app simply pulls in the Active, Rest and Dietary calories from Apple Health and displays the combined Burned Calories, Consumed Calories and the difference between them. We optionally also display the 3 macros, Carbs, Fats and Protein, this can be enabled in the settings tab, where you will also need to set your goal values per day. On the history tab, you are able to view a list of your calories over the last 7, 14 and 30 days. --------------- Requirements --------------- This app requires that the device has the Apple Health app installed and access to the following permissions: - Active Energy - Resting Energy - Dietary energy Optionally, for those who also wish to view their Macros within the app, we would need the following permissions: - Carbohydrates - Protein - Total Fats ---------------------- Supported languages ---------------------- English German Spanish Hindi Arabic Portuguese French Russian Japanese Korean Malay Vietnamese Turkish Tamil Italian Polish Ukrainian Romanian Dutch Thai Hungarian Czech Swedish Hebrew Slovak Danish Finnish Norwegian Chinese (Simplified)

Your weight can change significantly from one day to the next. A higher number on the scale does not necessarily mean you gained the same amount of body fat. Water, food, glycogen, and other short-term factors can create substantial day-to-day fluctuations. Calorie Balance helps you look beyond those fluctuations by tracking what matters over time: your calorie intake, calorie burn, and energy balance. With Apple Health integration, you can also reuse calorie, weight, sleep, and activity data already recorded by compatible apps and devices. Instead of reacting to every change on the scale, follow the longer-term relationship between your energy balance and your weight trend. CALORIE BALANCE AT A GLANCE See your daily calorie intake, calories burned, and resulting balance in one place. Enter calories directly when you want to, or automatically import dietary energy already stored in Apple Health. No food database is required. If you already track calories elsewhere, you do not need to log everything again. WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH Calorie Balance can use compatible data stored in Apple Health, including dietary energy, active and resting energy, weight, and sleep duration. Data recorded by other compatible apps and devices can become part of your Calorie Balance history automatically. THEORETICAL WEIGHT TREND — PRO Build a long-term history of your calorie deficit or surplus and visualize the theoretical weight trend associated with that accumulated energy balance. Your measured weight may move up and down from day to day. Calorie Balance gives you another way to evaluate whether your longer-term trend is moving in the direction you expect. SLEEP CORRELATION — PRO Compare your sleep duration with your calorie balance and explore patterns in your own data. For example, see whether shorter sleep tends to coincide with higher calorie intake or a different energy balance. Correlation indicates statistical association and does not establish causation. GOAL PROGRESS Set a target and track your progress toward it. Use your calorie balance as a practical daily reference whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain, or maintenance. WIDGETS — PRO Check your calorie balance and progress directly from your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Weight is a noisy measurement. Calorie Balance helps you look past the daily noise and focus on the long-term relationship between what you consume, what you burn, and where your weight is heading.
