Improve your child's articulation and pronunciation! Brought to you by a Speech Language Pathologist and the creator of the SpeakEasy: Home Speech Therapy app which has accelerated early language development for over 100,000 families. With Articulation Teacher, you choose specific sounds to work on with your child. You can work on Early Sounds like D or T, Middle Sounds like G or S, or Late Sounds like L or R. Articulation Teacher includes at home articulation activities to do with your child outside of the app as well as games to play with your child in the app. All suggestions are evidence-based and research-backed. Let's dive into what each sound set includes: --- In-App Games Our articulation games are best played side by side with your child, but if your child is up for it they can play the games on their own as well. For each sound, we have the following games: Splat: say the selected word, and have your child splat it from the choices on the screen! Name It: our simplest game, this is meant for rapidly trying to say different words using digital flash cards. Swipe to the next word and help your child say it out loud. Sound Check: look at and listen to each word, and have your child decide whether the word includes the sound you're working on or not. Space Match: play this out-of-this-world memory game, saying each word as you flip over each card, to work on both articulation and cognitive skills. Paper Games: print a list of articulation practice words and play these games around your house, bringing articulation practice directly into the world around you. --- Home Activities Each sound has 5 activities to try with your child at home. You can read these activities ahead of time, then do them with your child when you can. We recommend trying to do at least one Home Activity each day, and we encourage repetition as much as possible! Home Activities that focus on pronunciation and articulation are the most effective way to spend time with your child to work on speech development. We use videos, books, songs, and the world around you to help integrate articulation practice into every day. --- What Sounds and Letters Are Included? In Articulation Teacher, you can work on the following sounds: Early Sounds: B, P, M, D, T, N, and Vowels Intermediate Sounds: K, G, W, F, S, SH, and Multisyllabic Words Advanced Sounds: L, Final -L, R, R Blends, S Blends, and TH --- More Features Each sound also has an intro video that teaches you how the sound is made, as well as a digital and printable cue card which you can use to help remind your child to pronounce a sound. This cue card fits within the cueing hierarchy explained in the intro video. Cues are an essential part of articulation practice that we integrate directly into our games and activities. Plus, check out developmental milestones to know if your child is on track, and read free learning articles related to articulation development. Articulation Teacher is also meant to be used by SLPs during their sessions as an aid to articulation practice. Learning Logic turns real logical thinking into a game kids actually want to play. Kids ages 6 to 12 solve hands-on puzzles by playing, not by filling out worksheets or answering quizzes. They wire up a circuit, flip a switch, and watch it light up when the logic is right. Every puzzle is a small "aha" moment they earn themselves. The journey grows with your child, across three ways of thinking in logic: CIRCUITS Wire up batteries, switches, and lamps. Flip a switch and watch the current light things up. This is where logical thinking starts: cause and effect you can see and touch. LADDER LOGIC Draw the rungs that control machines, using the contacts and coils that run real factories. It is the same language industrial engineers use every day, made playful and clear. CODE Snap blocks together into real programs. Kids build the same if / then logic that runs the apps they use every day, one clear step at a time. REAL PUZZLES, REAL PROGRESS From a first light-the-lamp circuit to capstone mini-games where a whole packing line runs on logic the kid built, the difficulty grows gently. Kids are never dropped in over their heads, and never left bored waiting for the next idea. A FREE-BUILD SANDBOX When kids just want to make something, the Sandbox lets them build anything four ways: as a circuit, as ladder logic, as blocks, or as code. SAFE BY DESIGN Learning Logic is built for children, and built to earn a grown-up's trust: - No ads, ever. No advertising of any kind, and no ad networks. - No data collection. No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking. - Everything stays on the device. Nothing your child does is ever sent anywhere. - Learning is never behind a purchase. Every lesson is free to play. It is made for the App Store Kids category and designed to comply with COPPA by collecting nothing at all. FOR CURIOUS KIDS, AND THE GROWN-UPS WHO LOVE THEM Whether your child is six and lighting up a first circuit or eleven and building a working program, Learning Logic meets them where they are and grows with them. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Learning Logic at every 8 days against Articulation Teacher's every 28 months. Learning Logic also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Articulation Teacher's advantage is ratings volume (213 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
