Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SmackT at 5.0 against A24's 3.6. SmackT also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). A24's advantage is ratings volume (198 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A24 sells 114 one-off in-app purchases and SmackT sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
SmackT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: A24 has 198 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
A24 ships an update every 4 weeks, SmackT fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
