Photo Point

Photo Point finds, plans, and saves the places worth photographing — from a one-tap save on the side of the road to a week-long road trip planned around the best light. DISCOVER WHAT'S ALONG YOUR ROUTE Driving Route 66, a coastal highway, or just across the state? Paste your route from Google Maps, waypoints and all, then choose what you're into — roadside oddities, ghost towns, vintage neon, murals, classic diners, abandoned places, or anything you type — and Photo Point hands you a ready-made prompt for any AI chat, one stretch of road at a time. Paste the replies back and every find lands on your route in driving order, marked with the mile it falls at and how far off the road it is, each with a picture. The obscure stops people mention in forums and road-trip blogs, without hours of searching. PLAN THE TRIP IN MINUTES Answer a few quick questions and the trip wizard builds it: drive straight there, stop when you're tired, or plan every stop. Build Itinerary fits your stops into days around your daily driving limit and suggests where each night ends. On iPad and Mac, the Trip Planner shows your arrival time at every stop against its best light, flags when you'll be early or late for it, adds cloud forecasts, and prints a shot sheet for the road. KNOW WHEN THE LIGHT WILL BE RIGHT Every spot shows its best golden-hour moment for the direction you were facing. On iPad and Mac, turn on the sun overlay to see exactly where the sun sits — and where the shadows fall — at every spot, for any date and time. SAVE A SPOT IN ONE TAP Spot something worth coming back to? Save it from the app, the Lock Screen widget, your Apple Watch, or hands-free with "Hey Siri, save this spot." Photo Point records your location, the direction you're facing, and the time. Share a photo or Street View screenshot from any app straight into a spot. BUILD OUT EVERY LOCATION - Photos and reference images, plus Look Around street-level previews - Notes, parking, a shot list, and the gear each spot needs - Tags and trips, with the whole collection on a map that shows each spot's photo up close PACK FOR IT A gear library with kits — Landscape, Drone, Road trip basics — builds each trip's packing list, flags gear your stops need, and syncs so you can build the list on your iPad and check it off on your iPhone. A quick gear check as you leave each stop keeps the tripod from staying behind. GET THERE Open any spot in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze, send a whole day's stops to Google Maps as a route, or export to Google My Maps. EVERYWHERE YOU ARE iPhone for the field, iPad and Mac for planning, Apple Watch for one-tap saves — all synced privately through your own iCloud. No account, no server of ours, no ads. Built for photographers, videographers, and anyone who likes a road trip with better stops.
