About

Crossline

Features

Crossline is a shot-planning tool for anyone blocking a scene before the camera rolls. Lay out your floor plan: walls, furniture, performers, cameras, lights, and drag setups into place. A live preview shows exactly what each camera will frame, at the lens and height you've chosen, before you've committed anyone's time to it. Crossline tracks your screen direction as you work. Cross the 180-degree line without a bridging shot and it tells you, by name, which pair of setups is the problem, not just that something, somewhere, might cut wrong. When you're ready to move from plan to picture: • Export a written prompt optimised for an AI image tool. Every frame carries style, setting, characters, set dressing, camera, lens, light and who's looking where, with screen direction built into the description, so the model can't quietly mirror your composition and reverse the scene. Delivered as a paste-in-order brief for tools that keep context between prompts, or as one self-contained prompt per frame for anything with no memory between requests. • Export a plain-language shot list for a human illustrator instead. No AI required. Available in English, Spanish, French and German. • Export the board as a printable PDF, six frames a page, with shot size, lens and height noted under each one. • Bring illustrated frames back in, mark up the camera moves, and print or export the finished storyboard. • Export every setup as structured data, for whatever you build next. Planning, the line checks and the coverage report are free, and always will be. Exporting is a single one-off purchase. There is no subscription.
