Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Botanical Sciences at 100% against Fine Fettle's 69%. Botanical Sciences also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.4). Fine Fettle's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 10) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Fine Fettle holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fine Fettle has 1.2K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Botanical Sciences's written reviews are positive against 69% of Fine Fettle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Botanical Sciences ships an update every 3 months, Fine Fettle monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
