Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Jibi at none against talkmaker's shown. Jibi also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). talkmaker's advantage is ratings volume (514 vs 12). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. talkmaker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Jibi sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for talkmaker against 4.8 for Jibi. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: talkmaker has 514 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.
talkmaker ships an update every 2 weeks, Jibi weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
