Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: TAG Remote at 4.7 against REACTOR's 3.4. TAG Remote also leads on ratings volume (167 vs 23) and device support (3 vs 1). REACTOR's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 25%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

TAG Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TAG Remote has 167 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of TAG Remote's written reviews are positive against 47% of REACTOR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

TAG Remote ships an update every 6 weeks, REACTOR every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
