Dewpoint Rooms
Read full descriptionHide full description
Check what changed in a room Intervention Check compares logged room readings before and after a recorded change. Review median humidity, temperature and moisture content with sample counts and time spans. • Open a room → Intervention Check and record what changed and when. • Choose an equal 1–168 hour window before and after the marker. At least three valid readings on each side are needed. • Compare the medians and share the frozen reading report. Samples are equally weighted, not continuous monitoring. GPP uses temperature, humidity and site-altitude pressure. Readings outside the supported temperature/humidity range are excluded and counted. A change does not prove cause, dry materials, safe remediation or absence of mold. Dewpoint Rooms is an offline dew-point, humidity, and moisture-control workbench. Enter temperature and relative humidity to understand dew point, wet bulb, grains per pound, absolute humidity, condensation risk, comfort, mold conditions, room targets, and preservation ranges. Log rooms over time, compare readings, and export reports without an account or internet connection. PRO MOISTURE ACTION PLAN Moisture Action Plan provides planning estimates. Add indoor temperature/RH, coldest surface temperature, outdoor air, room volume, target humidity, tightness, and air-change goal. Dewpoint Rooms calculates: - condensation margin - indoor/outdoor grains comparison - whether ventilation helps or hurts - recommended dehumidifier class - required CFM for target ACH - right-now, 24-hour, and one-week action steps PRO FIELD BOARDS Twelve high-resolution offline field boards cover basement dry-out, window condensation, crawlspaces, HVAC latent load, wood movement, cellar preservation, bath/kitchen exhaust, concrete cure, grow-room VPD, bedroom comfort, heat safety, and client reporting. AIR SWAP Relative humidity alone cannot tell you whether opening a window will help. Air Swap compares indoor and outdoor moisture mass in grains per pound, calculates outdoor dew point, estimates the relative humidity of that air after it reaches the indoor temperature, and gives a clear ventilation verdict. DRYING FORECAST Open any tracked room to analyze its recent drying trend. Dewpoint Rooms uses up to 40 readings across the last seven days to show direction, rate, sample span, confidence, and an estimated time to target when the trend is strong enough. OFFLINE EPA FIELD LIBRARY Carry two complete EPA moisture references without a network connection: Moisture Control Guidance for Building Design, Construction and Maintenance and A Brief Guide to Mold, Moisture and Your Home. The native document reader supports paging, zoom, rotation, and search. ROOMS AND REPORTS Track multiple rooms with target RH bands, 30-day temperature/RH charts, mold-risk timelines, IAQ scoring, CSV export, and offline PDF site reports. TOOLS INCLUDED - Dew-point and vapor-pressure calculator - Indoor/outdoor Air Swap moisture comparison - Condensation predictor - Psychrometric-style comfort chart - Air properties with altitude correction - Dehumidifier and ventilation sizing - A/C delta-T diagnostics - Manual J Lite sizing reference - Mold timeline planner - Concrete cure tracker - VPD calculator for plant environments - Heat safety WBGT / work-rest guidance - Wood EMC and drying planner - Seven-day room Drying Forecast - Sourdough, fermentation, cellar, humidor, and sleep comfort tools Dewpoint Rooms is private by design. It has no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no developer cloud. Rooms, readings, notes, exports, and reports stay on your device unless you choose to share them. The app provides educational estimates and planning guidance. EPA publications are included for reference and retain their original attribution. Dewpoint Rooms is not a substitute for certified HVAC design, laboratory testing, medical advice, structural inspection, or professional remediation.
