Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Now at 100% against Ravinia's 14%. Now also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Ravinia's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ravinia has 6.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of Ravinia's written reviews are positive against 100% of Now's.
Ravinia ships an update every 12 months, Now fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
