Celestial Guide is an interactive database of information about stars and planets. Its basic interface is a map of the sky as seen from any point on Earth at any point in time. The user can manually choose the time and location, or the iPhone's or iPad's GPS and clock can be used to select the current time and location. If the device is pointed at the sky, the map on the screen will be presented corresponding to the actual view in that direction. The star database includes stars brighter than magnitude 9. The user can select the minimum visible magnitude, which allows the map to conform to the stars which are visible to the user based on local viewing conditions. CelestialGuide presents accurate locations of planets and comets, including rendering of eclipses, transits and occultations that are visible from the selected location. CelestialGuide also has a database of Messier Objects. CelestialGuide also includes a Virtual Orrery, displaying the relative position of the planets and comets at any point in time.

About

The Bible in Bashkir

This app contains the Holy Scripture (Bible) in the Bashkir language. The Bible is a very important book that many people read, it is also known as the "Book of Books". The Bible contains 66 books written by many of God's chosen writers. These books tell stories from the creation of the world to the first generation after Jesus Christ (the Messiah). The Bible has two parts, written in Hebrew and Greek: The Old Testament contains the 5 books of Moses, accepted by Jews, Christians, and Muslims, as well as the historical books, the books of the Prophets, Psalms, and Proverbs. Some of the books are over 3000 years old. In the Old Testament we can read that God made a covenant with His people, Israel, and gave them commandments through Moses. The New Testament tells of the birth of Jesus Christ, His teachings and works, and the first church. It also tells how God made a New Covenant with His people - the gathering of all believers in Jesus Christ from all nations. The translation from the original languages was made by specialists in the field of biblical studies and linguistics of the Institute of Bible Translation and the Russian Bible Society. The translation was certified by the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The application provides an opportunity to study the Holy Scriptures. In parallel or in the "verse by verse" mode, the Russian text in the Synodal translation can be connected to the Bashkir text. Users can: - highlight verses with different colors, place bookmarks, write notes, view the reading history; - perform word searches; - share a link to the app with other users; - navigate between chapters and books using the top menu or by swiping left-right. * The app includes a brief glossary of key terms and place names, photos of ancient manuscripts, and maps of biblical locations. * Some words in the text are explained. They are labeled with small (superscript) Latin letters. You can read the explanations by clicking on the corresponding letter. * The application allows you to create verse images by placing verses of the Bible text on the background of pictures offered in the application or from the user's device. They can be shared via email or messengers.
