The Jar is a swear jar you can point at anything. Pick a habit, put a price on it, and put someone you know on the other side. A dollar for saying "circle back." A dollar for dishes in the sink. Twenty-five cents for a wet towel on the bed — and yes, they will report you. HOW IT WORKS • Start a jar with your partner, roommates, friends, coworkers — or just yourself. • Write your own rules: what it costs, who it applies to, who gets paid. • Catch someone slipping and report it in a couple of taps. Self-reporting is allowed and, frankly, respected. • The accused confirms or disputes. The record keeps everyone honest. • The Jar nets everything out, so it always knows exactly who owes whom. • On settle-up day, pay each other however you normally do. The Jar just keeps score. THINGS PEOPLE PUT IN THE JAR • Couples — phone at dinner, picking cuticles, the weaponized "fine" • Roommates — dishes in the sink, thermostat crimes, mystery leftovers • Coworkers — late to standup, corporate jargon, reply-all • Solo — ordering delivery again, texting your ex ($10, minimum) ABOUT THE MONEY The Jar never touches it. No wallets, no cards, no fees, no cut — it tracks small IOUs between people who trust each other, and stays out of the way when you settle. Stakes are small on purpose: rules are capped per occurrence and per day, so a terrible week stays funny instead of becoming a problem. THE FINE PRINT, THE GOOD KIND • Free. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. • Private by design. Jars are invite-only. No public profiles, no feeds, no strangers. • The history is permanent. Disputes stay on the record. Grudges optional. • For grown-ups (18+). It's real money, even a quarter at a time. Set the rule. Break the rule. Pay the price.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Accountability Jar at 5.0 against DOOR's 4.5. DOOR's advantage is ratings volume (50K vs 1) and chart position (#104 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Accountability Jar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DOOR has 50K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
