PitchPop is a playful ear-training game for families and beginners of any age, based on the Eguchi chord-color method. Every chord has its own color: red, yellow, blue and more. Listen to a chord, then pick the color that matches. Over time you learn to recognize chords by ear. HOW IT WORKS • Tap the rainbow to hear a chord • Pick the color you heard • Hear the chord's real notes after every answer, right or wrong • Start with a few colors and add more as they get easy MADE FOR FAMILIES • Separate players, each learning their own set of colors • Daily streaks to build a short practice habit • Explore mode: tap any color to hear its chord, anytime • Works offline, with a friendly voice built right into the app PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads, no tracking, no analytics. You don't need an account to play. An optional account lets a family sync its players across devices, and you can delete it anytime from inside the app.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: PitchPop at 100% against CC Connected Lite's 11%. PitchPop also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). CC Connected Lite's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
PitchPop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CC Connected Lite has 49 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of CC Connected Lite's written reviews are positive against 100% of PitchPop's.
CC Connected Lite ships an update every 2 months, PitchPop every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
