Split is bill-splitting the way it should work: item by item, not just the total — and entirely on your device. Most splitting apps ask you to type in a lump sum and divide it evenly. Split reads the actual receipt. ITEMIZED, NOT LUMP-SUM Point your camera at a receipt and Split reads it on-device — no photo or text ever leaves your phone. Choose exactly who's splitting each individual item, not the whole bill. One person's appetizer doesn't have to get split with the whole table. RECURRING PEOPLE Add someone once and they're saved as a contact for next time. Favorite the people you split with most so you're never retyping the same names for the same group of friends. AUTOMATIC SETTLE-UP Record who paid for what, and Split works out exactly who owes whom — netted directly between the people who actually shared an expense, not routed through some global optimization that can make a payment feel random. Mark a payment as done and it's tracked for good. PAY IN ONE TAP Direct links to Venmo and Cash App with the amount pre-filled — no typing a number by hand. Zelle info is one tap to copy. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Split doesn't have accounts, doesn't have a server, and doesn't collect or transmit any of your data. Names, expenses, receipts — everything lives on your device, full stop. There's nothing to breach because there's nothing collected. Split a dinner, a trip, a grocery run, or rent. Add the people, add or scan the expenses, and settle up — that's it.
PickCard

PickCard is a credit card bill and due date tracker that also tells you which card to use today. WHICH CARD TODAY? Enter each card's statement day and due date, and PickCard shows which card gives you the longest time to pay, reminds you before every bill, and keeps your spending in view. No bank login, no account, and nothing leaves your iPhone. BILLS AND SPENDING See upcoming statements, due dates, expected subscriptions and loan instalments in the calendar. Record purchases, payments and balances, review Activity and your recap, and track debit accounts and cash in hand. Balances are estimates based on the records you add; update them whenever you need to. CAPTURE ON YOUR TERMS Share a bank message with PickCard, pass messages through an automation you set up in Shortcuts, or add entries manually. Review captured entries and teach PickCard a message format. Message formats vary by bank and country; manual entry remains available. PickCard does not connect to your bank account or require a bank login. ON YOUR IPHONE Your cards, shared messages and financial records stay on your iPhone. Use the app lock to protect access, choose whether widgets show amounts, and export or erase your local data from Settings. Restoring an Apple purchase restores access, not your financial records on another device. 14 DAYS FREE, THEN ONE PAYMENT Start the free 14-day trial after setup to use every feature. It lasts 14 full days from the original Apple purchase date. No subscription, automatic renewal or automatic charge. You can choose the separate PickCard Lifetime purchase to unlock every feature with one payment; Apple shows your price before you buy. Family Sharing is not included. After the trial, your existing cards, loans, leases, balances and history stay readable. Adding or editing records, new message capture and full features require the one-time unlock. Balances remain estimates from saved records; new messages received through sharing or Shortcuts are not stored after expiry. Existing bill and statement reminders, Export, owner-confirmed Erase and app security remain available. Messages saved before expiry are kept. Restore purchases is available on the unlock screen and in Settings > PickCard Plus. Reinstalling or erasing local data does not restart the same Apple Account trial.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Split at none against PickCard's 2. PickCard's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 26 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
