SkateFM
Read full descriptionHide full description
SkateFM is skate jams 24/7 — the music of the roller rink, streaming live from real skate DJs. • Stations for every rink sound: freestyle, Miami bass, electro, funk, breaks, old-school rap and more. • Live DJs: when a SkateFM DJ goes live, you hear them mixing in real time — and some DJs stream live video too. • Turn your iPhone sideways and the player becomes a classic 1980s boombox, with a glowing LED display, spinning cassette reels and dancing VU meters. • Follow your favorite DJs and get a notification the moment they go live. • Subscribe to stations to keep them at the top. Some DJs run subscriber-only stations — request access and they’ll let you in. • Chat privately with the DJ while they’re live (when the DJ turns chat on). • AirPlay, lock-screen controls and background play. Every station plays free, no account needed. Sign in with Apple (free, one tap) to follow DJs, subscribe to stations and chat. Are you a DJ or a skating rink? Request access in My Account.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: SkateFM at every 2 weeks against CUE Broadcasts's every 2 months. CUE Broadcasts's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
