Some things are worth remembering. Kept is a private vault for the things you try. Snap a photo, give it a rating and a note, and find it again months later — the wine you loved, the paint colour that was right, the dish worth ordering again, the plant that actually survived. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE • No account. No sign-up. No password to forget. • No cloud sync, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. • Your photos and notes never leave your device. SIMPLE BY DESIGN • Snap: take a photo, rate it, add a note in seconds • Vault: everything you've kept, searchable when you need it • Add a place to a memory if it matters — only when you ask for it WHY IT EXISTS Photos alone don't remember why something mattered. A rating and a line of context turn a picture into something you can actually use later. Available in English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kept at 100% against Plex Photos's 4%. Kept also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.3) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months). Plex Photos's advantage is ratings volume (294 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
