Verdict
Mimir and Proll both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Proll's written reviews are positive against 55% of Mimir's. Proll also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.1). Mimir's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (121 vs 14). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mimir sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Proll sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Mimir against 4.6 for Proll. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mimir has 121 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Mimir's written reviews are positive against 100% of Proll's.
Mimir ships an update every 8 days, Proll every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
