Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Moose Math at none against Starfall's 1. Moose Math also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Starfall's advantage is chart position (#202 vs unranked) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 581). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Starfall sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Moose Math asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Moose Math against 4.1 for Starfall. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starfall has 4.3K ratings behind it against 581, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 76% and 75% positive.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
