Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: PetRecs at 5.0 against Fellow's 2.0. PetRecs also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 weeks). Fellow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (67 vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PetRecs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fellow asks for nothing beyond the download.
PetRecs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fellow has 67 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Fellow ships an update every 4 weeks, PetRecs every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
