You look up and forty minutes are gone. Or you're certain you worked for an hour when twelve minutes went by. Losing your grip on time has a name, and it's one of the most exhausting parts of daily life when focus doesn't come easily. Most apps answer this with a timer that rings. Focus starts somewhere else: making you able to feel time yourself. START WITH TIME The first exercise, Time Blind, asks you to reproduce a duration with no reference at all — no clock, no countdown. You see the gap between the time you think passed and the time that actually did. It's uncomfortable the first time. It's also the most useful measurement you'll get about yourself. EIGHT MORE EXERCISES, EACH WITH A TARGET Keeping a rhythm with no cues, impulse control, acting fast or holding back, visual scanning, attention to detail, spatial memory, working memory, the ability to ignore what distracts. Each measures one specific thing, in two minutes. No filler, no decorative exercises. A FOCUS TIMER Simple, silent, with a notification when the session ends. Nothing more is needed to hold a session. YOUR DATA, NOT SLOGANS Focus will never claim your concentration is improving. It shows you your scores, your cumulative focus time, and the time of day your results are best. Measured facts, yours to interpret. This is deliberate: promises that don't hold up end up hurting the person who believed them. KID MODE A simplified interface with stars earned for every exercise completed, never lost. A parental gate protects purchases and settings. PRIVACY No data ever leaves your device. No account, no ads, no trackers. Everything stays stored locally, on your phone. Three exercises are free, no limits. Premium unlocks the six other exercises. The timer and your data stay free. Focus is a training and measurement tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not a replacement for professional support. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND TERMS Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app before any purchase and is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Swisscom Sign at none against Focus's 3. Focus's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
