Chip Chess and Mini Chess are scientifically certified learning methods by the educational initiative “Schach für Kids e.V.,” with which children can age-appropriately learn playing chess. Chip Chess can be played alone or with a partner. The normal chess rules apply. The goal is to capture the most chips or enemy pieces. The functions of the chips create manageable game situations. Mini Chess is played without chips but with enemies. The normal chess rules apply. The games have different goals and are played with less pieces (often without the king).
