Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: OluKai at 4.9 against Yiume's 4.2. OluKai also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 5) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.6). Yiume's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
OluKai holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OluKai has 1.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
OluKai ships an update every 3 weeks, Yiume every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
