Inspired by self-help books, CBT therapy, and habit-building techniques, Pebbly Nudge App ("Nudge) was designed using the creator’s personal journey through loneliness and depression during COVID. Nudge aims to be a well-being companion, seamlessly blending mindfulness, productivity, and self-reflection into a beautifully intuitive app. The App integrates an AI-powered chatbot, journaling, guided breathing and to-do lists to support mental wellness. Nudge strives to make self-care accessible to those who may not have the means to afford professional or medical treatment, offering an empowering alternative for mental well-being. So begin your journey to improved mental resilience—one insightful entry at a time! Now for the AI geeky deep dive: A key feature of our platform is an AI-powered chatbot, meticulously trained on 108 peer-reviewed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) research articles. Leveraging the creator's expertise in data engineering and model building, the chatbot was developed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to ensure contextually relevant and scientifically grounded responses. The chatbot was trained on 108 high-quality CBT research articles, which underwent preprocessing techniques such as text tokenization, stemming, and lemmatization to standardize language. Stop words, punctuation, and metadata were filtered out to refine the training dataset, improving model efficiency. The text corpus was converted into numerical representations using Word2Vec, TF-IDF, and BERT embeddings to capture semantic meaning and contextual relationships. Sentence similarity models were implemented to accurately match user queries to the most relevant research-backed responses. Various Transformer-based architectures (e.g., BERT, RoBERTa) and traditional machine learning classifiers (e.g., Random Forest, SVM, Logistic Regression) were tested to optimize accuracy (It reached an accuracy of 97.6%!). The model was fine-tuned using supervised learning on labeled datasets to enhance response precision. A human-in-the-loop validation process was implemented, where subject matter experts reviewed and approved chatbot responses to ensure adherence to CBT principles. The chatbot integrates user feedback loops and reinforcement learning to continuously refine its accuracy and relevance. The chatbot operates on a retrieval-based response generation mechanism, ensuring scientifically validated responses rather than generating freeform text. In summary: With a visually calming interface, gamified progress tracking, and AI-driven insights, Nudge redefines self-care with a highly personalized experience. More than just an app, Nudge is a movement toward accessible digital well-being. By blending AI-driven machine learning with psychological expertise, Nudge ensures that individuals worldwide receive inclusive, credible, and tailored mental health support—without barriers.
