Vidnip is an offline video and music player for iPhone. Import your own videos, music videos and songs — no Mac and no account needed. If you have a Mac, pair it with Vidnip for Mac: keep watching its downloads on your iPhone with the position in sync, sync songs, stream videos, control downloads, and send it links even when you’re away. YOUR VIDEOS, CONTINUED ANYWHERE • Import videos (MP4, M4V, MOV) from the Files app, Photos or a computer. Select several in Files or Photos and tap Share › Import to Vidnip to import them all at once. • Every video remembers where you stopped and continues from there. Finished videos are marked as watched; play from the start or mark them watched / unwatched at any time. • Full screen, Picture in Picture and AirPlay to your TV; rename, share or save to Photos. YOUR MUSIC, OFFLINE • Import MP3, AAC/M4A, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF and music videos with their artwork and lyrics; a matching .lrc file becomes timed lyrics that scroll with the music. • Queue, shuffle, repeat, playback speed and AirPlay, with controls on the Lock Screen and in Control Center. • Car Lyrics (Settings › Music): when audio plays over your car’s Bluetooth or CarPlay, the current lyric line appears where the car shows the song title, with the song and artist on the artist line. • Tag your songs and filter by tag — several at once, with Selected and Recently Used at the top of the panel. Search and sort; duplicates are skipped. • Imported files stay on this iPhone and are part of its backup. WITH VIDNIP FOR MAC: DOWNLOAD ON THE MAC, CONTINUE ON THE IPHONE • Mac › Videos shows what the Mac has downloaded, with a Continue Watching row at the top and series grouped by subscription or playlist. • Stop halfway on the Mac and pick up at the same spot on your iPhone; finish on the iPhone and it’s marked as watched on the Mac too (Vidnip for Mac 2.0). • Download to iPhone — copied over Wi‑Fi and verified with SHA‑256; watch offline anywhere, position kept. • Stream from the Mac — instant playback with seeking, speed, full screen and AirPlay; only a small temporary cache on the iPhone. • Remote control — open the video on the Mac’s screen and drive play, pause, seek, volume, speed and subtitles from your iPhone. SEND LINKS FROM ANYWHERE (with Vidnip for Mac) • Share a link from Safari or any app, or paste it in the app. Your Mac detects the videos on the page; if there are several, pick one by thumbnail, length and quality. • Follow the Mac’s downloads live and pause, resume or cancel them from your iPhone; links sent while the Mac is unreachable go out later. • Remote Send — away from home, send a link to your own Mac and it downloads automatically. The link is end-to-end encrypted and relayed through api.vidnip.com; we can’t read it; ciphertext is kept for at most 7 days. SYNC MUSIC FROM YOUR MAC • Browse the Mac’s music library and sync a song, an album or everything, with artwork and lyrics; optionally sync new songs automatically whenever the Mac connects. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no analytics, no ads. Vidnip never uploads your files anywhere. • Communication with your Mac stays on your local network, encrypted; videos never leave it, and Remote Send carries only the encrypted link. Pairing uses a one-time six-digit code shown on the Mac; revoke an iPhone from the Mac at any time. REQUIREMENTS • Importing and playing your own files needs nothing else. • Mac features: Vidnip for Mac 1.7.0 or later from vidnip.com (1.8.0 for music sync, 2.0 for position sync and Remote Send; macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon) with “Allow iPhone to connect over the local network” on (plus Remote Receive for Remote Send), both on the same Wi‑Fi. • Downloads from the Mac run while the app is in front and resume when you return. Vidnip for iPhone never downloads media from websites: it has no built-in browser or site parser and does not bypass access controls or DRM. It plays files you already have and manages media on your own Mac.
