EcoEats is a free app for sharing surplus food before it gets thrown away. Someone has more food than they can use — a catering order that over-delivered, trays left after an event, a fridge to empty before a trip. They post it. Anyone nearby sees it, claims a portion, and walks over to collect it. That is the whole app. HOW IT WORKS • Post in under a minute: a photo, what it is, where to find it, and how long it will be there. • Browse by distance, dietary tag and time remaining. • Claim a portion and get directions to the pickup spot. • Get a notification the moment your food is claimed, or your pickup is confirmed. WHY POSTS EXPIRE WITHIN THE HOUR Surplus food does not stay good, and it does not stay available. Every post carries a deadline — fifteen minutes to an hour — after which it disappears on its own. That means the feed is sometimes empty, and always honest: everything on it is food that is genuinely still there. BUILT AROUND REAL HANDOVERS • Ratings after a pickup, so hosts and recipients build a track record. • Dietary and allergen tags on every post, written by the person handing the food over. • Report and block, plus a food-safety guide written for people giving food to strangers. • Delete your account whenever you like — in the app, immediately. FREE, AND STAYING THAT WAY No purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDK. EcoEats is an independent project. It is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by any university, college or commercial food vendor. Food you cannot finish is not rubbish yet. EcoEats is a way to hand it to a person instead of a bin.

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Eco at 15.1 against Zoyo's 17.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
