False Thread is a fast party game of secret words, bluffing, and bad reads. Pass one phone around the group as each player secretly checks their screen. Most players will see the same word, but one or more players are the imposters and only see that they are the imposter. Their job is to blend in, sound convincing, and survive the round without getting caught. Once everyone has seen their role, the discussion starts. Players talk, drop clues, defend themselves, and try to figure out who is faking it. Some clues help. Some make things worse. The imposters have to think on their feet and keep the group guessing. At the end of the round, each player secretly chooses how to play it. Call lets you go big if you think you know who the imposters are. Hide is the safer choice if you are unsure. Bluff is for players who want to stir things up and throw suspicion in the wrong direction. Then everyone locks in their votes, the roles are revealed, and the score is updated.
