About

Scratch a Saying

Features

Scratch a card to read a saying. If it reminds you of someone, send it to them. They can scratch it open in their browser, even if they do not have the app. Move your finger across the screen to uncover a saying. Read it over your morning coffee, then try another whenever you feel like it. You can scratch as many cards as you like. SAVE A FAVORITE Tap the heart to keep a saying. Your favorites stay together in the app, so you can read them again or find one you wanted to send to a friend. SEND SOMEONE A CARD Tap share and choose how the saying goes out. Send it as a scratchable card, and the person who gets it rubs away the foil in their browser, with nothing to install. Send it as a picture, and it keeps its lettering and colors, ready for a message or a Facebook post. You do not need an account in Scratch a Saying. CHOOSE WHAT YOU READ There are more than 2,400 English sayings in eight categories, including family, love, humor and courage. Choose your categories in Settings. The app works through the sayings in your chosen deck before starting again. A DIFFERENT LOOK EACH TIME Each new card gets a design, a color theme and a foil. There are ten designs, 34 color themes and six foil styles. Some designs turn up less often than others. Save a favorite and it keeps the look you scratched open. Shared cards keep that look too. The scratch follows your finger, with tiny flakes coming off the foil. On a compatible iPad, Apple Pencil pressure changes the width of the stroke. Confetti falls when the saying is revealed. Scratch a Saying is free, with no subscription or in-app purchases. • Reveal sayings by rubbing away the foil • Keep favorites to read again • Send scratchable cards that open in the browser • Share picture cards with family and friends • Choose from eight categories • Use it on iPhone or iPad
