Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Focus Beast at free with in-app purchases against Brainrot's subscription. Focus Beast also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 18%). Brainrot's advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 18). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainrot sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Focus Beast sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Brainrot against 4.6 for Focus Beast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainrot has 23K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of Brainrot's written reviews are positive against 50% of Focus Beast's.
Brainrot ships an update every 6 days, Focus Beast weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
