BROWSE WITH FEWER DISTRACTIONS Open Instagram and YouTube inside Tysh with Reels and Shorts filtered out. Choose Instagram's DM-only mode, or search for videos in YouTube with recommendations hidden and automatic next-video playback stopped. Optional controls hide comments and engagement counts, with options that vary by service. Quiet apps work inside Tysh. Filters do not change the native apps and may vary as websites change. SIMPLIFY YOUR HOME SCREEN Keep your chosen apps in a clean, text-based Essentials widget. Choose light or dark styling, rename app labels, and save matching wallpaper. Start free with one screen and up to five apps. Essentials uses large widgets. You add the widget and apply wallpaper yourself; some apps need Apple Shortcuts setup. SET BOUNDARIES YOU CAN BUILD ON Schedule app and website blocks for work, study, or time away. Set daily budgets for app opens or minutes. Want to cut back gradually? Choose a reduction plan and review your next step at weekly check-ins. MAKE TIME FOR FOCUS AND REST Start Quick Focus or alternate work and breaks with built-in Classic and Deep Work Rhythms. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tysh at 100% against Brainrot's 18%. Tysh also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Brainrot's advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 11). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Tysh sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Tysh holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainrot has 23K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Brainrot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tysh's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
