Starkive Manifest
Read full descriptionHide full description
Starkive Manifest is an IT asset register for the people who have to answer for the hardware: what you own, who holds it, where it is, and the evidence an auditor will ask for. The iPhone app is a complete register on its own, and a Mac is optional. It keeps its own copy, so you can record an asset at the rack with no signal. The Mac app is the full desk, with every report and the deeper compliance work. One subscription covers both. HAVE A LOOK FIRST, FREE It's free to download. Open the demo from the first screen: a made-up company with 1,000 assets, its people, contracts, jobs and paperwork, plus six things to try. It's free for three days from the moment you open it. No card, and nothing of yours goes in it. RAISE IT HERE, PICK IT UP THERE Raise a job on your iPhone and pick it up on your Mac, or the other way round, when the two are paired or both on Starkive Cloud. Jobs and requests sit together in Work, each with a number like JOB-0001 or REQ-0001. Give a job to the team, a person or a device, then claim it, report it done and have someone else check it. TAP A TAG, OPEN THE RECORD Write an NFC tag from a record and stick it on the machine. Then a tap of your iPhone opens that record. If the app is closed, iOS may show a banner to tap first. The tag holds a link, never the record itself. EVERYTHING IN FIVE TABS Home, Assets, Scan, Work and Compliance. Home puts what needs you first. Open an asset and four things sit at the top: who has it, where it is, when it was last verified and the warranty. Verify comes up when a check is due, and editing is one form with one Save. If it's missing something your audit needs, it says so, with one next step for each. Nothing is recorded until you do it. YOUR DATA, YOUR MACHINES Choose a local register and it's a file on your own device. No account, no telemetry, and none of your inventory reaches us. We only get the support messages you send. A Mac and an iPhone can sync straight to each other over your own network, and the Mac only listens if you switch that on. Or choose Starkive Cloud, hosted in the United States, to sync without sharing a network. Even then the fields that matter most (regulated scope, disposal witnesses, sanitisation certificates, each asset's lease rent, condition notes, custom field values and every photo) are encrypted on your device with a key we never receive. BUILT FOR AN AUDIT Built on open standards: ISO/IEC 19770 concepts and NIST SP 800-88 sanitisation categories. The audit trail can't be edited from the app, because that's what makes it evidence. A stamp that records an action is written by doing the action, never typed, so "verified" means somebody verified it. In Starkive Cloud the trail is also kept on our servers, where the apps can add to it but can't change or remove it. IN THE FIELD Read an asset tag, barcode or serial with the camera, and if it reads more than one, tap the right one. A sweep records what it saw and never claims more. WHAT YOU GET On iPhone and Mac: • Every asset in one register, searchable by tag, serial, model, person or site • Custom fields, even ones that stay on your devices • Contracts, vendors, consumables and reorder points • People, and who holds which device • Compliance: which evidence reports are ready, and what's still missing • An evidence pack mapped to the controls it covers On the Mac: a customisable asset table, directory sync from Okta or Microsoft Entra, CSV import, repairs and RMAs, and plain-English dashboards. Plans are monthly auto-renewing subscriptions. Each plan says how many assets it holds and how many devices can use it at once, from 5 to 100, your own included. If a subscription ends, your register stays readable and exportable, and only adding and editing stop. Starkive Cloud deletes its copy 30 days later, after emailing you twice. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Amazon Hub at none against Starkive Manifest's 10. Amazon Hub also leads on chart position (#123 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Starkive Manifest's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
