TimeGuessr is the game that challenges both your geography and history knowledge in one addictive experience. Using real historical photographs from around the world, your task is simple: guess when and where each photo was taken. Think you know your 1960s from your 1980s? Can you tell Paris from Prague just by a grainy street scene? Whether you're a casual player or a history buff, TimeGuessr will put your deduction skills to the test. Each photo is carefully selected, showcasing moments that span continents and centuries. Place a pin on the map to guess the location, choose the year, and see how close you were. The closer your guess, the more points you earn. New photos are added daily through the popular daily game mode, where players from around the world compete to get the highest score. You can also challenge your friends, compare your progress on the leaderboard, and even create your own shareable rounds. TimeGuessr is more than just a guessing game - it's a journey through time and place, blending curiosity, memory, and discovery in a way that keeps you coming back for more.

Put the world back together. Mapzzle turns 600 real maps into geography puzzles. Build each one as a jigsaw, or play it as a map quiz and see how many places you can find. The Starter Pack is free, so you can jump straight in. In Jigsaw mode the map starts out in pieces. A piece clicks in when it touches the outer border or a neighbor you've already placed, so the map grows from the outside in like a real jigsaw, right up to the last piece. Quiz mode takes all the names off the map, so it comes down to how well you know your geography. The game asks for a place and you press and hold where you think it is. A direct hit gets full points and the biggest fireworks, but a near miss still counts. If that sounds too relaxed, turn on Time Attack and you'll have 10 seconds per question. Some maps take a couple of minutes and others will keep you busy for days. Warm up with the continents or the countries of Europe, then take on Japan's 47 prefectures, every state in Brazil or all 2,477 municipalities of Mexico. Before long you'll point to Mato Grosso without a second thought. Three difficulty levels change how close is close enough, whether you're placing a piece or answering a question. A quiz can be 5, 10 or 20 questions long or cover the whole map. Each map keeps your best time, best score and stars, so there's always a record to beat. There are 62 achievements to collect too. Mapzzle also takes care of the little things. • Maps you've downloaded play offline • Close the app mid-game and pick up right where you stopped • If you get stuck, open the guide map or ask for a hint that shows where a piece goes • 9 visual themes with their own color palettes • Play in 16 languages Your six free maps include the US states, London's boroughs and the Caribbean islands. You pay once to unlock all 600, plus new maps as they're added. There are no subscriptions and no ads. And you can tell us which map you'd like next, right from the app.
