Concept: The app is a pitch monitoring tool and works as standalone or AUv3 plugin. It will analyze an incoming audio signal using FFT and display its spectral graph in real-time (unit: musical pitch not hertz). The user can watch and study in detail the pitch distribution of audio source. Usage: There are seven sliders. 1. Resolution: determines the analysis resolution. (higher resolution - worse time response) vice versa 2. Pan: works as panner, only if input source is stereo. 3. Magnify: magnifies the screen horizontally. 4. Slide: slides the screen horizontally. 5. Out: determines the audio output to be turned on or off (default: Off). 6. Input: input gain in dB. 7. Tuning: adjusts A4โ€™s reference frequency in the range from 414hz to 467hz (default: 440). In the app the pitches are represented as follows: C -> C Cis -> 1 D -> D Es -> 3 E -> E F -> F Fis -> 6 G -> G As -> 8 A -> A B -> B H -> H Specifications: Compatible with the following sampling rate (from 44.1khz to 96khz)

Ohms Sample cuts any loop at its transients and turns every slice into something you can play, tune, and choke. Drop in a sound and it slices itself; drag a marker to move a cut, then play it on screen, from Mac keys, over MIDI, on a Launchpad, or inside your DAW. A starter drum loop is already sliced the first time you open the app, so you can play before you import anything. SLICE AND SHAPE * Up to 16 transient-aware slices, each with its own tune, volume, pan, attack, release, reverse, loop, and choke group, so an open hat can give way to a closed one. * Play the slices side by side, or one slice chromatically. Four touch modes let you tap slices on the waveform, hold a two-finger loop, scrub like tape, or play a slice as a keyboard. * Zoom the waveform from 1ร— to 8ร—, cut or keep a range, reverse it, or stretch it from 50% to 200% without changing pitch. Restore the untouched source at any time. * Retune the whole instrument, with a one-tap A = 432 Hz. * Save the whole setup (slice positions, triggers, routes, effects, grain, and per-slice settings) as a recipe, then apply it to a different sample in one undoable step. The library keeps up to 256 recipes, and you can exchange them as .ohmsrecipe files. Recipes hold settings only, never audio. LET IT PLAY ITSELF * Tap a pattern preset (star polygon, Fibonacci walk, pendulum, spiral, or a Euclidean 5- or 7-hit rhythm) for an instant route or rhythm, then press Run and watch the playhead show every choice. * Draw weighted routes between the slices on the circular Orbit map. * Four playback paths: Weave, Pulse, Interlock, and Drift. The Pulse lane runs 1 to 64 steps, each with its own openness. * A Chance field moves the whole instrument from order to wild and from near to far. * Arm stutter, reverse, speed, and scratch gestures per slice, morph across a 3ร—4 snapshot bank, and punch in with four trigger pads. * Catch the last 1, 2, 4, or 8 bars as a Take and replay exactly what played. GRAIN AND EFFECTS * Up to 128 grain voices with position, size, density, pitch, jitter, reverse probability, and stereo spread. * A resonant low-pass or high-pass filter, feedback delay, and reverb on every sample. KEYS, MIDI, AND LAUNCHPAD * On a Mac, keys Aโ€“P play the slices whenever the Sample Brain search field is not focused. * MIDI notes 36โ€“51 or 60โ€“75 play the slices and 52โ€“55 fire the triggers. Learn CCs for grain, effects, and morph; send and receive MIDI clock; echo Orbit choices as notes. * Launchpad Mini MK3, X, and Pro MK3 get sixteen large color blocks on the Pads page, plus Weave, Pulse, and Memory pages, with LEDs that follow the instrument. CAPTURE AND EXPORT * Import through the system file pickers, and search the sample folders you choose with Sample Brain. * Record from the microphone in Take. On macOS, Sample Anything can hold the last 60 seconds of system audio in memory once you turn it on in Take. macOS asks for Screen & System Audio Recording permission; only audio is used, never screen frames. * A new recording waits beside the current sample until you choose Use Recording or Keep Current. * Export the edited sample as WAV, bounce a caught Take to WAV, or save the Take as a Standard MIDI File for your DAW. * Save sample, slices, routes, gestures, snapshots, effects, and grain together as one session. AUv3 INSTRUMENT * The full engine and insert effects run sample-accurately as an AUv3 instrument on macOS and iPadOS, with 24 automatable parameters, factory presets, and host-saved state. Each instance keeps its own sample and can follow host tempo. * The plug-in requests no microphone, file, screen-capture, or network access. Audio is decoded, sliced, and played on your Mac or iPad, with no account, analytics, advertising, or network calls. One purchase covers macOS and iPadOS, with no subscription or in-app purchase. Runs on macOS 14 or later and iPadOS 17 or later. Sample Anything is macOS-only; microphone recording works on both.
