MaybankVN-eID is the official application of Maybank branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It enables customers to verify their electronic ID (chip-based CCCD) with the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) – Ministry of Public Security. This application is developed in compliance with Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam. The app also supports biometric matching against ID cards and passports. Users can securely perform remote eKYC, supporting account opening and financial services with Maybank Vietnam. Hold your iPhone near an electronic passport to read identity details, the chip portrait, and available data groups. ePassRead presents Passive Authentication, certificate trust, Chip Authentication, and Active Authentication results when supported, helping you assess the integrity and trust status of the chip data. ePassRead also supports driver license records. Select the issuing country or region, scan supported AAMVA PDF417 barcodes or issuer QR codes, and capture the front, back, and a holder selfie. Driver license records can be reviewed locally and securely submitted to your configured business endpoint in the same way as passport records. Every submission requires user confirmation, and the report payload is encrypted locally with AES-GCM. App Attest helps your server determine whether a request came from an attested app instance. Important: Chip reading and authentication results help assess the integrity and trust status of passport chip data. They are not an official passport authenticity decision issued by a government, border authority, or immigration system. Driver license barcode and QR parsing only extract the presented data. Codes and images may be copied or altered, and the results are not an official driver license authenticity decision.
