54% of people admit work is their top priority. A bigger priority than their families, relationships, and personal health. We get it. It's hard. You have big goals. You're trying to provide for yourself and your family. Work is important, having money is important, and your job can require long hours. "Work-life balance" implies you need some sort of equal time for all the important things. But we know this just isn't a reality. So what do you do? The solution is what we call "work-life harmony." This means seeing your life as one whole, not compartmentalized roles competing against each other. Work-life harmony isn't about equal time for each role. It's about ensuring each role gets the care it needs. This is why we built Harmony, to help you become more effective in all areas of your life, and to reach your full potential as a human. Inspired by principles taught in Atomic Habits, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Getting Things Done, planning with Harmony is simple yet extremely effective. Based on data from a pilot group of users, 77% reported "good" or "very good" health in all their roles after 30 days, compared to only 23% at the start. One user, after using the app for several weeks, commented: "Harmony has completely changed how I approach my weeks, and my life." So how does it work? There are 3 core steps: 1. Establish your mission First, take a step back. What do you really want in life? Harmony will help you create a Personal Mission Statement, establishing your deeper why. You really can't think about what's next week until you know what's at the end. Harmony also allows you to create long term goals, guided by your mission. 2. Plan your weeks based on roles We've found planning at the weekly level, based on roles, to be very effective. Daily planning or to do lists are a good start, but they're too short sighted. The week is a perfect frame of reference. Harmony will guide you every week in thoughtful planning sessions and suggest goals based on your mission. 3. Live it daily Rather than daily planning, we just review our weekly plan throughout the week. Harmony's AI will help you time-block your goals (or smaller tasks) and nudge you to do the right things at the right times, so you can live in accordance with your mission and plans every day. The app is simple to use and engaging. When you check off a goal, you'll see confetti fly in the air. When it's time for weekly planning, we will make you feel the urgency an Alarm that bypasses do not distrub. This app isn't going to magically do the work for you. But if you're someone who is striving to be a good person and just lack a some nudging and structure, this is the perfect app for you. A PHYSICAL KILL-SWITCH FOR DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS. Screen-time apps are easy to cheat. Willpower eventually runs out. Node is different. It is a physical kill-switch for your digital distractions. By offloading your self-control to a physical object, you create a barrier that algorithms cannot break. STOP FIGHTING. SEVER THE CONNECTION. Your phone is designed to steal your attention. Node turns it back into a tool. Tap to Lock: Touch your phone to the Node to instantly cut off access to social media, games, and noise. Deep Work: Essential apps stay open; distractions stay dead. Physical Key: To unlock, you must physically return to the Node and tap out. No cheat codes. MONK MODE: NO LOOPHOLES For those who need absolute discipline. When you activate Monk Mode: Deletion is Impossible: You cannot delete the Node app or your blocked apps until the session ends. Locked In: You cannot edit your block list or cancel the timer. Burn the Ships: Once you tap in, there is no way out but through. FEATURES Physical Toggle: Initiate focus sessions with a tactile tap. Selective Blocking: Block entire categories (Social, Entertainment) or specific addictive apps. Streak Tracking: Visualize your reclaimed time and build a habit of deep work. Strict Enforcement: We combine hardware friction with un-deletable software blocking. HARDWARE REQUIREMENT Node is designed to work with the Node accessory. While the app interface can be explored without it, the core physical locking and unlocking features require the hardware device.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Node at none against Harmony's 5. Harmony's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (49 vs 6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Harmony sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Node asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Harmony against 4.8 for Node. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Harmony has 49 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Harmony's written reviews are positive against 100% of Node's.
Harmony ships an update every 5 days, Node every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
