About

AirLogBook

Features

AirLogBook is a simple aircraft spotting log for people who photograph planes and want to keep a clear record of what they saw. Take or choose a photo, let the app scan for the aircraft registration, then save the sighting with the date, location, notes, and aircraft details. You can also import many older plane photos from your library at once. AirLogBook reads the photo's original date and saved location where available, matches nearby airports, and stores each sighting in your log. If the registration is visible, AirLogBook uses on-device OCR to find it and can look up aircraft details from ADSBdb. If the registration cannot be read, the app still saves the photo as REG UNKNOWN so you do not lose the sighting. Features: - Log aircraft sightings with photo, registration, date, location, and notes - Import many photos from your library - Read aircraft registrations using on-device OCR - Use photo metadata for original date and GPS location - Match GPS-tagged photos to likely airports - Look up aircraft details by registration - Save unknown registrations for later review - Editable notes for each sighting - Location saving can be turned off in Settings AirLogBook is designed to be straightforward, private, and useful at the airport fence, viewing area, or when sorting through old photos at home.
