dB Meter Pro vs BarkAway

dB Meter Pro turns your iPhone into a precise, private sound level meter. Measure the noise around you in real time — accurately, beautifully, and without ever recording your audio. WHY dB METER PRO • Accurate by design — A, C and Z weighting (dBA/dBC/dBZ) to the IEC 61672 standard, verified by automated tests. • Truly private — the microphone is used only to measure. Audio is never recorded, stored or sent. • One calm screen — live level with MIN, AVG, MAX and PEAK, a real-time frequency spectrum, and plain-language comparisons like "normal conversation" or "city traffic". • Protect your hearing — a noise-dose tracker following NIOSH and OSHA standards warns you before sound becomes risky. • Per-device calibration — fine-tune to a reference for trustworthy readings on your exact iPhone. PRO • Octave-band spectrum analyzer • Trends and full history, with CSV and PDF export • iCloud sync, widgets and Live Activity PERFECT FOR home and office noise, concerts, workshops, sleep environments and hearing-safety awareness. dB Meter Pro is a measurement aid for everyday awareness, not a certified Class 1/2 instrument.
