PoCUS Pocket Trainer vs Horizon Training

The app trains the most difficult part of learning ultrasound: understanding how probe position translates into the image. By directly linking probe movement, anatomy, and ultrasound appearance, users develop an intuitive spatial understanding of ultrasound. Move a virtual ultrasound probe across a realistic 3D human body and watch the ultrasound image update in real time. Reveal the anatomy beneath the skin and see how organ position creates the ultrasound view. CORE CONCEPT • Real-time coupling of probe position, orientation, and ultrasound image • Synchronized 3D anatomy for spatial reference • Turn your phone into a virtual ultrasound probe (in combination with screen sharing) • Designed specifically for point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) training FEATURES • Interactive probe positioning, with swipe gestures or by tilting your phone • Real-time ultrasound image simulation • Linked 3D anatomy visualization • Anatomical labels • Visualization of typical free-fluid spaces TARGET AUDIENCE • Medical students • Residents (Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Anesthesiology) • Emergency physicians • Intensivists • Prehospital emergency medicine • Anesthesiologists • General practitioners INTENDED USE PoCUS Pocket Trainer is intended for education and training only. It does not provide medical advice or diagnostic functionality.
