TapScore helps you understand what's actually in your tap water — in seconds. Enter any U.S. ZIP code, city, or state — or let TapScore find your location automatically — to see: • TapScore Rating (0–100): an at-a-glance water quality score for your local utility • TapQuality Rating: Excellent, Very Good, or Poor, based on contaminant levels compared to health-based guidelines • Elevated Contaminants Detected: specific substances found above recommended health guidelines, when present • Utility details: which water utility serves your area, its water source, and population served Your current location stays pinned at the top, with your 9 most recent searches right below it — perfect for checking water quality before moving, traveling, or just to know what's coming out of your faucet. TapScore's ratings compare results against health-based guidelines, not just legal limits — because legal limits for tap water haven't been meaningfully updated in nearly 20 years, and passing them doesn't always mean the water meets current health science. Know your water.
