To actually look at them from your phone, the usual answer is running a photo server, importing everything into its database, and maintaining one more service. Loomey Viewer skips all of that. It connects to your share directly over SMB and browses your folders exactly as they are. And it isn't tied to the network: a USB drive plugged into your device or a local folder on it works just the same.
