Minnow Run is a one-life arcade swim. Tap to swim up, stop tapping and you sink, and thread your minnow through the weeds and past the bigger fish for as long as you can. Every run starts in daylight and swims on through dusk, night and dawn. • Touch the big fish in the face for bonus points, if you dare. Grazing earns you +2! • Eight more fish to unlock, earned by score and by nerve. • Three-letter arcade profiles and a local leaderboard, so everyone on the phone keeps their own best. • Original chiptune music and sound, each with its own mute. • No account, no sign-in, nothing to buy. Free, with an occasional ad between runs. Made by a dad, tested by kids. Fish sticks!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Minnow Run at none against CloudGear's 3. CloudGear's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (569 vs 2). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CloudGear sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Minnow Run asks for nothing beyond the download.
Minnow Run holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CloudGear has 569 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
