Track your sleep stages, snoring, sleep talking, and nighttime breathing in one place. No subscription. No accounts. No servers. No ads. Wear your Apple Watch for sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature. Add your iPhone for snore detection, sleep talking detection, breathing pause detection, and a full audio timeline of the night. Use both for the complete picture. Everything stays on your device. Audio never leaves your phone. Press record before bed. Wake up to your sleep score, stage breakdown, and every notable sound from the night. Playable, taggable, exportable. KEY FEATURES - Apple Watch Companion See last night's summary, browse past nights, and view live biometrics during a recording. Stop a recording from your wrist. - Sleep Stages from Apple Watch & Wearables Pull sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature straight from your watch or any wearable that syncs to Apple Health. - Audio Sleep Stage Estimation Sleep stage classification from audio alone. Breathing regularity, breathing rate, movement, and snoring patterns combine to estimate Light, Deep, REM, and Awake. - Hypnogram Source Picker Switch the nightly sleep stage chart between audio analysis and Apple Watch data. Compare both views of the same night. - Sleep Score Watch Complication Add the Snore Timeline complication to any watch face for last night's sleep score at a glance. - Snore Detection Every snore captured with volume, duration, and frequency. Tap any snore to play it back. - Snore Nudge When sustained snoring is detected, your Apple Watch taps your wrist so you shift position, without waking you. Every nudge is saved to the nightly summary with how your snoring responded in the minutes around it. Requires a paired Apple Watch. - Snores Per Minute See your snore rate charted across the whole night against your personal baseline, with a breakdown of how snoring built up and settled around each time you woke. - Visual Snore Timeline See your entire night at a glance. Enable Loud Sound Detection for frequency-based coloring showing low, mid, and high frequencies. - AirPods & Bluetooth Recording Record through AirPods or a Bluetooth headset instead of the phone mic, with automatic level calibration for consistent volume. - Sleep Talking Detection Speech recognized as sleep talking and displayed on your timeline with playable clips. - Breathing Pause Detection Flags 10+ second silence followed by a recovery breath, a pattern that may explain poor sleep quality. - Sleep Score & Insights A nightly score based on duration, stage balance, efficiency, time to fall asleep, awakenings, and snoring. - Sleep Factors Tag what shaped your night, like caffeine, alcohol, or a late meal, and see which factors line up with better or worse sleep over time. - Sleep Schedule & Wake-Up Alarm Set a bedtime reminder and a wake-up time. Recording stops at your wake-up time with an optional alarm sound. - Smart Wake Up Alarm Wake during a light-sleep moment in a window before your set time, so you start the day less groggy. The alarm fades in from quiet, and still rings at your set time if a light-sleep window never comes. - Wake by Wrist Tap Wake to silent taps on your Apple Watch instead of a sound, so you can get up without disturbing a partner. Requires a paired Apple Watch. - Loud Sound Detection Capture any sound above a volume threshold. Useful for alarms, pets, or mumbling. - Weekly Trends Track progress week over week with charts comparing duration, scores, and efficiency. - Custom Range Export Pick a date range and choose what to include: nightly summaries, stages, episodes, biometrics, and audio. Generate CSV reports for sleep specialists. - Completely Private Everything on your device. No account required. Audio never leaves your phone.

The apps you choose ask you one question before they open: why now? Type a short answer, read it back as one calm sentence, and two seconds later Continue appears. Then you go in, or you put the phone down. No timer to wait out and nothing gets blocked. Everything runs on your iPhone. What you type is never stored or uploaded; it is gone the moment you continue. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the apps. Choose from a list of common social, video, chat, music and browser apps, or add any app by its link scheme. 2. Route each one through Pause. This uses a Shortcuts automation you set up once per app; the app walks you through the five steps and shows the exact link to paste. 3. Open a routed app. Instead of the feed you get one screen: the question, a text field, then your own reason mirrored back in a calm sentence, then Continue. The friction is the typing and the reading, nothing more. Take an app off the list and its friction is gone the same minute. TWO TONES Neutral mirrors your sentence back plainly. Dry is shorter and a little more blunt. Switch in Settings whenever you like. WHAT IT NEVER DOES - No account and no sign-in - No server, no analytics, no ads, no notifications - No streaks, badges, points or "minutes saved" screens - No history of what you typed; each reason lives in memory only for the moment it belongs to - No reading of the content inside the apps you route - No network calls of its own WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone on iOS 26. On iPhone 15 Pro and newer, with the system's on-device intelligence turned on, the reflection is written by the on-device language model in iOS 26. On other iPhones, or with it turned off, Pause uses a built-in set of static reflections instead, and the routing and the typing work exactly the same way. Either way it works offline. WHO IT IS FOR People who reach for the same few apps many times a day and want a beat before the next one, without handing a blocker the keys. Pause is an agreement with yourself. You can walk around it, and it will not tell on you. FREE AND PAID Your first routed session is free with the whole mechanic, so you feel it work before you decide anything. From the second session Pause asks you to subscribe or buy once; you can answer Maybe later and it asks again a day later. Both subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The one-time purchase never expires and is family-shareable. Pause is made by Hadger, a one-person iOS studio that ships calm, private apps for iPhone.
