Unwind on your own terms. Mowditate gives you a quiet, focused space where you decide how, when, and with what you meditate. It’s designed to get you into a session with as few taps as possible — whether you want a simple timer, a breathing exercise, or a guided meditation. Mowditate is built in layers. Use only the parts that are useful to you and leave the rest untouched. Statistics, streaks, badges, exercises, guided content, and Mowditate+ are there when you want them, but they never need to become part of your meditation routine. If all you want is a timer, Mowditate can simply be a timer. The layers you don’t use simply stay out of your way. • Set a fixed duration or meditate without a time limit. Add interval gongs, choose a background, and adjust your session the way you like it. • Use breathing and grounding exercises when you want something a little more active, including Box Breathing, Resonant Breathing, and 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding. • Turn on Mindfulness Focus automatically for meditations and exercises after a one-time setup with Shortcuts. • Meditate in silence, use your own audio files, or listen with Apple Music. • On iPhone Duo, Mow stays by your side as you meditate with the device unfolded in landscape. • Use Mowditate on Apple Watch to meditate, track your sessions, or start breathing and grounding exercises right from your wrist. • Follow an active meditation from the Dynamic Island, Lock Screen, or Apple Watch with Live Activities. • Save your mindful minutes to Apple Health and see your meditation history, streaks, and statistics whenever you’re interested in your progress. • Unlock badges as you explore Mowditate. They’re designed as small extras rather than goals you have to chase — ignore them completely if that’s more your style. • Learn more about meditation and mindfulness in the Meditation Knowledge section. • No account required. No tracking. MOWDITATE+ Mowditate+ adds another optional layer with guided meditations, relaxation techniques, and courses with adjustable session lengths. It doesn’t change the core timer experience — use guided content when you want it, and return to a simple meditation timer whenever you don’t. Included guided content: • Body Scan • Autogenic Training • Jacobson Progressive Muscle Relaxation • Metta • Chakra Meditation • Tonglen • Interconnectedness • 7-day course: Meditation Basics • Seasonal Rauhnächte course, available from December 25 to January 6 Guided content for Mowditate+ is currently available in English and German. Whether you want five quiet minutes, a breathing exercise, a longer guided meditation, or simply a timer that stays out of your way, Mowditate lets you choose what fits right now. Breathe with Sound, Not Screens. Most box breathing apps force you to stare at a screen. This one lets you close your eyes and go deeper. Instead of following a visual animation, you follow sound — a gentle piano scale that guides your breath naturally, without distraction. Lie down, relax, and let your breath follow the music. A Deeper Way to Practice Box Breathing Visual breathing guides keep your attention outward. This app does the opposite. A piano scale plays upward as you inhale A soft click sound marks breath holds The piano scale plays downward as you exhale With your eyes closed and no visuals to follow, your focus moves inward — creating a calmer, deeper breathing experience. Breathing Patterns Included Choose one of four simple, effective breathing patterns: • Box Breathing 4–4–4–4 Inhale 4s → Hold 4s → Exhale 4s → Hold 4s • Box Breathing 6–2–8–0 Inhale 6s → Hold 2s → Exhale 8s (No hold after exhale) • Flow Breathing 6–0–6–0 Inhale 6s → Exhale 6s (No breath holds) • Flow Breathing 6–0–8–0 Inhale 6s → Exhale 8s (No breath holds) Each pattern is designed to support relaxation, nervous system balance, and mental clarity. Minimal. Instant. Distraction-Free. No login No account No setup Open the app and choose a breathing pattern — that’s it. The breathing audio continues even if you lock your screen or put your phone down. Calming Sound Environment Alongside the piano guidance, you’ll hear soft nature sounds: Gentle birdsong A quiet flowing stream Everything is designed to help your body relax effortlessly. Perfect for When You Need to Calm Down Fast Use this app when you feel: Stressed or overwhelmed Anxious or restless Mentally tired In need of focus or grounding Just press play, close your eyes, and breathe.
