Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: KCCircle at free against Proper Cannabis's free with in-app purchases. KCCircle also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 77%). Proper Cannabis's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 19). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Proper Cannabis against 4.8 for KCCircle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proper Cannabis has 1.3K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Proper Cannabis's written reviews are positive against 86% of KCCircle's.
Proper Cannabis ships an update every 2 weeks, KCCircle every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
