Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Zwind at Free against FileXip's $5.99. FileXip's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.6) and ads (none vs shown). On review sentiment, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Zwind is free to download; FileXip costs $5.99 up front. Zwind sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FileXip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

FileXip holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Zwind's written reviews are positive against 76% of FileXip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Zwind ships an update every 5 days, FileXip every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
