( https://www.youtube.com/@cameronclark4667 - Visit this site for free training on how to get the most from this app. ) Some people struggle to play full piano scores using two different clefs, and needing to read note heads that are positioned vertically... when the rest of the time humans track side to side reading text. Add in the complexity of taking a vertical representation of notes you scan with traditional manuscript, and then expressing them on keys laid out horizontally... No wonder so many people can't play piano that way. YouTube tutorials alone only get you so far. Chord chart PDFs are accurate, but are rarely practical in gigging situations. Knowing chords is only half the battle. You need to know when to change to the next chord, and that requires good listening and experience (mistakes). Having some knowledge and then playing along with people would help but no one can afford to hire band for private jam sessions. I feel your pain. That's why I built an app that provides you with the instant chord knowledge you need, AND a virtual backing band so you can learn the changes and develop some ear training skills too (Start with slower tempos until you're ready for full speed). Make the mistakes at home, then wow people at the open mics, and then at the gigs. How do you get there? You don't need more theory. Don't waste time learning intervals that no pros think about while performing. You only need a tool that shows you exactly where to put your fingers and lets you hear each chord demonstrated properly in real time first, then add the rhythmic elements later. Books can't provide this. And most professional keyboardists are too busy to show you the tricks. This isn't a course you'll abandon after a week. It's a tool you'll reach for every time you sit down at the keys. It's a reference tool you'll refer to at a jam session when there's disagreement about chord anatomy. It's a training system that allows you to choose the curriculum you want to learn and save things for later. It's also a perfect framework for composing your own songs even if you don't believe you're a writer yet. **WHAT'S INSIDE** • Dual Piano Keyboards — See exactly what each hand plays (Start with right hand, let the bass player handle the bass in many situations) • Massive Chord Library — Triads, 7ths, 9ths, 11ths, 13ths, altered, sus, and more • Named Jazz Voicings — Correct terminology, some of which are based on names of famous musicians • Drum Accompaniment — Rock, Latin, Swing, Bossa Nova, and other patterns • All 12 Keys — Transpose any progression instantly - great for moments when the singer in your group can't hit the high notes • Adjustable Tempo — Slow it down to learn, speed it up to perform • Save & Share Songs — Build your own library and send songs to friends **WHO IT'S FOR** • Chording Piano players tired of only knowing basic chords • Jazz enthusiasts who want to actually play, not just listen • Worship musicians preparing for Sunday • Songwriters sketching out progressions • Teachers who need a visual tool for students (a great tool they can use to practice improv solos at home even with playback transposed for Bb & Eb instruments) • Anyone who wants to study music from a harmonic perspective first, and build other skills along their way • Readers who'd prefer jamming without sheet music **EVERY CHORD TYPE YOU'LL NEED** Major, minor, diminished, augmented, sus2, sus4, dominant 7th, major 7th, minor 7th, half-diminished, diminished 7th, 9ths, 11ths, 13ths, altered dominants, add9, 6th chords, and many more—with multiple inversions. Play any chord and jam for free. Subscribe only if you want to save and export songs and access the our basic chord theory curriculum. A 7-day free trial included so you can try it our first and ensure it's a good fit for you. About

ChordSmith

Chordsmith is a chord finder, a chromatic tuner and a drum machine built for the same instrument — yours. Sixty of them, from six-string guitar and four-string bass through banjo, mandolin, ukulele, violin, cello and double bass, and on to the bouzouki, oud, guzheng, sitar, koto, nyckelharpa, balalaika, charango and kantele. CHORD FINDER Pick a chord and see how to play it on the instrument in your hands, in up to 100 voicings, ordered from the easiest shape upward. Change the tuning and the shapes change with it — every voicing is computed for the strings you actually have, not looked up in a table for standard tuning. DADGAD, drop D, open G and every other preset is one tap away. CHROMATIC TUNER Five displays to choose between: a sweep needle, a strobe for last-cent work, chromatic spokes, a continuous note strip, and one you will want to see for yourself. Every instrument carries its own tunings, drop and open included. Set your reference by ear as well as by number — play a note from a piano, a drone or another player's instrument and the app takes its pitch as the tonic, which is how you tune to an ensemble that is not at A=440. METRONOME AND DRUM MACHINE Ten kits — standard, click, electric, 808, Latin, cajón, djembe, darbuka, tabla and taiko — and twenty-seven feels, from straight eighths and a swung shuffle through son and rumba clave, bossa nova, the reggae one-drop, bembé, tresillo, maqsum and malfuf. Tap tempo, a BPM counter, compound and odd meters, and an accent pattern you edit, so 7/8 sounds like the 7/8 you are counting. CHORD DETECTION Play a chord and the app names it, tracks the key as you go, and keeps a running transcript of what it heard. The spectrum analyser runs on the room rather than on a preset, so it works with no instrument selected at all. NINE TUNING SYSTEMS Equal temperament, and the ones that came before it: Werckmeister III, quarter-comma meantone, Vallotti, Young II, Kirnberger III and Pythagorean, with a temperament octave for tuning a piano, harpsichord or clavichord by ear. Quarter-tones as 24-TET for maqam, and Thai equidistant 7-TET for the krachappi, the phin and the saw. SIXTY INSTRUMENTS Guitar in six, seven and eight strings and the Russian seven; bass in four, five and six; ukulele in three sizes; mandolin, five-string and tenor banjo, violin, viola, cello, double bass and the Hardanger fiddle; cavaquinho, viola caipira, vihuela, guitarrón, bajo sexto, cuatro, charango, bandurria and laúd; Greek bouzouki in tetrachordo and trichordo, the Irish bouzouki, Turkish and Arabic oud, bağlama, gambus; erhu, pipa, guqin, guzheng, koto, gayageum, shamisen, sanshin; sitar, tanpura, veena and the Carnatic violin; balalaika, domra, dombra, morin khuur, nyckelharpa, kantele; krachappi, phin, saw duang, saw u and the đàn ghi-ta phím lõm; piano, harpsichord and clavichord. BOUGHT ONCE Fourteen days to try everything, then one purchase, yours for good. No subscription, no account, no advertising. The tuner and the detector run entirely on your device — nothing you play is recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere. The app works with no network connection at all, which matters more in a rehearsal room than it does in a shop.
