About

Aruki

Walk. That's all it takes. Aruki is a calm, premium coach for "Japanese walking" -- the interval method of 3 minutes brisk, 3 minutes easy, repeated five times for a 30-minute walk. Voice guidance tells you when to switch, so you never have to watch the screen. Just put in your earbuds and walk. WHY INTERVAL WALKING The method comes from research by Prof. Hiroshi Nose at Shinshu University in Japan and is widely followed as a Zone 2 aerobic walking routine. Aruki makes it easy to do consistently -- no flashy gimmicks, just a quiet, well-made guide. DON'T THINK -- JUST LISTEN Phase changes are announced with voice, a chime, and a gentle haptic, with a 3-second countdown. Audio keeps playing in the background and on the lock screen, ducking your music instead of stopping it. SEE YOUR ZONE 2 (Apple Health, optional) Aruki reads your heart rate to show when you're in Zone 2, the aerobic sweet spot, and writes finished sessions to Apple Health as workouts so they count toward your Activity rings. Heart-rate access is optional -- the interval timer works fully without it. STREAKS THAT STAY KIND Miss a day and your streak doesn't reset to zero. A 28-day calendar and weekly view let you look back on your own rhythm, gently. WIDGETS & LIVE ACTIVITY Keep your streak, this week's progress, and the season on your Home and Lock Screen. During a session, the Dynamic Island shows remaining time and heart rate. SEASONS OF JAPAN Your walks are shown alongside the 24 micro-seasons (sekki) of the traditional Japanese calendar -- a quiet sense of the year turning. PRIVACY All of your data, including health data, is processed on your device only. Nothing is sent to a server, collected, or shared. No account required. No third-party ads or tracking. ARUKI PRO The core experience lets you start with interval timing, voice guidance, basic streaks, and recent history. Aruki Pro unlocks Zone 2 heart-rate analysis, unlimited history and weekly trends, custom plans, and seasonal themes. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
