Film yourself with the rear cameras of iPhone Duo, not the selfie camera, and read your script on the outer screen over a live, mirrored picture of the shot. On any iPhone, Just Roll floats your words over the camera preview, so you keep eye contact and finish the take without memorizing a line. Write it. Roll it. Post it. FILM WITH THE REAR CAMERAS ON IPHONE DUO Unfolded, Just Roll films with the rear cameras. Turn the phone around and the outer screen faces you while you're filmed: • A live, mirrored picture of the shot, with your script scrolling across the top, the self-timer's count and REC • Hold it upright or turn it sideways: the picture stays the right way up • Between takes, tap the outer screen to make it your recorder, just like the closed phone's; the big screen turns black until you tap it • Save or Go Again right on the outer screen, with playback • Close the phone to use the front camera MORE ON IPHONE DUO • Write on one page; read time at your speed, the Script Coach and your takes on the other • Pick a script on one page and its read time, preview and takes open on the other • Held upright, the script sits on top and your library below, with Start Recording under your thumbs • Stand it half-folded and the record button and controls sit below the hinge, off the fold • Fold or unfold it mid-read and the prompter keeps your place AI SCRIPT COACH (PRO) A writing coach that runs on your device: • Write It From My Notes: bullet points in, a full spoken draft out • Make It Spoken: rewrites essay-ish drafts to sound like you talking • Tighten to Time: fits your script to a 30-second to 3-minute read at your pace • Hook Ideas: three alternative openings to pick from Nothing replaces your script until you approve it, and nothing is uploaded. (Requires Apple Intelligence.) YOUR TAKES ARE SAVED • A phone call, a swipe to the Home Screen, even a full disk: your footage is finalized and saved • Takes are numbered by script and auto-save to your Takes library, Camera Roll or both • Bad take? Tap Go Again to scrap it unwatched and start back at your first line • Record up to 4K, front or back, with zoom, tap-to-focus, AF/AE lock and a ring-light mode that makes your screen a soft key light RUN IT FROM ACROSS THE ROOM Six kinds of remotes, every button remappable: Bluetooth keyboards, presentation clickers, foot pedals, Bluetooth game controllers, headphone and media remotes, and volume buttons. Map any of them to start/stop, speed, page jumps, font size or recording. A PROMPTER THAT MATCHES YOUR PACE • Set words per minute once; adjust live with a tap, swipe or remote • Hover Mode floats the prompter over your camera preview; Focus Mode goes full screen • Bionic reading highlights keep your eyes on the line • A 2-second lead-in before the scroll starts, and an optional 3- or 10-second self-timer before you record • Unlimited scripts and projects, templates, [PAUSE] and [CUE] tags, and read-time estimates at your pace • Start a take or a new script with Siri, Spotlight, the Shortcuts app or the Action button • Larger Text sizes across your scripts, the editor, Takes and Settings ON IPAD Two panes for Scripts, Takes, Home and the editor. With a keyboard, ⌘N starts a new script and ⌘R starts recording. FREE AND PRO Just Roll is free for 3 prompter sessions every month, with full recording features and no watermarks.
