Castoro is sheet cutting for furniture workshops and independent makers. A part stores its finished size โ€” the size it will have once the edge banding is on. Castoro works out the saw blank itself, from the banding thickness on each side and the premill. Enter 600 and the part is 600, no matter how much banding goes onto it. The core features are free. No account needed to start. Sizes and edge banding - finished and blank sizes shown side by side in the table and in the PDF - banding assigned per side of the part, with a catalogue of types - totals for length, rolls and cost - premill stated explicitly: how much the banding machine takes off the banded side - open a part in 3D โ€” banding per side, grain direction and dimensions on the model Cut maps - several layout variants per calculation, chosen by waste and number of cuts - colour coding for parts, reusable offcuts and waste - the cut sequence plays back step by step before work starts - grain, blade kerf and sheet edge trim taken into account - reusable offcuts are kept as stock, not written off as waste Handover to the shop floor - PDF report with cut maps, part list and material totals - label page: size, material, edge banding and grain on every sticker - the QR on a label opens the part card with sizes, banding and map numbers โ€” from a phone, right at the saw - a link to the calculation opens on any device, no app required Getting data in - import part lists from Excel, CSV and the clipboard - column auto-matching with manual correction - missing data flagged before the import runs Cost - prices for material and edge banding, currency, discounts, markups and tax - running total in the results and as its own section in the PDF Calculation history - search, filters and renaming - any saved calculation reopens in the editor Castoro is for: - furniture manufacturers and joinery workshops - small production teams - independent makers Beyond chipboard and MDF the app handles particle board, plywood, glass, mirrors, metal, plastic, acrylic and composite panels. Works on phone, tablet and desktop โ€” the same calculation opens everywhere. Castoro Pro The cut sequence printed in the PDF, not just on screen. About

Cut List Optimizer

Features

SawKit works out how to cut your parts from full sheets of plywood, MDF or melamine with the least waste โ€” and then tells you the order to make the cuts in. Type your cut list the way you'd say it. 15 3/16. 3/4". 4' 6". Millimetres if that's your shop. SawKit reads all of it, and a unit written on a number always wins, so you can mix imported hardware into a metric project without doing sums. WHAT IT DOES โ€ข Works out the layout across as many sheets as it takes, and picks the best of twelve different packing strategies for your particular list. โ€ข Respects the grain. Say which way it runs on the sheet and on the part, and parts that must follow it are turned to match โ€” never guessed from which number you typed first. โ€ข Accounts for the blade. Kerf and edge trim are part of the calculation, not an afterthought. โ€ข Gives you the cut order. Every pass runs edge to edge across the piece in your hands, numbered, so you can work through it at the saw. โ€ข Prints. A page per sheet plus a shopping list with prices and a total, in black and white that survives a workshop printer. โ€ข Runs on iPad, iPhone and Mac, side by side or one at a time. โ€ข Works with no signal at all. Workshops are usually the worst room in the building for that. FREE INCLUDES Everything above on screen: the whole calculation, the drawing, and the calculators. Up to 25 parts, three projects and one kind of stock. PRO ($24.99, one payment) Unlimited parts, projects and stock. PDF export and printing. The cut order. Your own stock list with prices. Your projects on every device you own. SHOP CALCULATORS โ€” always free Board feet with cost. Purchase allowance, done properly: waste comes out of what you buy, not what you need, so 15% waste means buying about 18% more โ€” not 15%. Project cost with markup. PRIVACY Nothing is collected. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no server. Your cut lists are yours and they stay on your devices.
